Membership

Membership with the A.B.O will NOT be required to qualify for any of the Triple Crown events / ABO National Championships / normal Prizes or medals in 2010.

At this time, guest fees shall be the same as normal entry fees for the class entered.

Please Note:

Membership does however needs to be in good standing for the following :
  • Qualifying for the IBO World Championships in the USA.
  • Qualifying for your association’s provincial & national recognition
  • Qualifying for the Top 10 Shoot-out and the huge Team Prizes @ the National event
  • It IS also necessary for any other  International I.B.O. tournament that you might have wanted to enter in 2010.

As an initiative from 2008, we added (1) year FREE membership to the ABO if potential members supported the local clubs and Pro Shops by doing there COP’s (Certificates of Proficiency !! ) at these venues.

For R 270 you can attain your Certificate of Proficiency (COP), and have one year Free membership to the ABO added onto that.
We believe strongly that a healthy Club structure is the secret to archery growing positively.

COP Membership Structure in 2010:

  • Certificate of Proficiency system will cost R 270,00.
  • Renewals of the COP card will cost R 150,00. ( Every 2 Years )

* This will include the COP Training material ( DVD-CD Rom or a Hard Copy of the Manual * * The Practical as well as the Theoretical assessments.
* Your new Bar coded COP / Membership Cards.
* Renewals will be every (2) Years with a Practical assessment Only.

Individuals Membership Structure in 2010:

  • Membership will cost R 250,00 per anum ( There is no joining fee or admin Costs )
  • 2nd Member will be R 200,00
  • 3rd  Member will be R 175,00
  • 4th  Member will be R 100,00
  • Master Members ( Older Than 55 ) will be R 200,00 per anum.
  • Your new Migrant COP / Membership Cards will be included.

Membership Structure for Clubs and Pro shops in 2008

It will cost R 350 per anum.

  • This includes training for the Bowhunter Instructors and also all the material needed for the COP system. ( COP’s  /  Full color Targets  /  Bowhunter ED Invoice Book  / Theoretical Assessment Booklets in English and Afrikaans  / Marking Stencils )
  • Your Club or Pro shop will then be listed under our “Registered clubs” section and a link to your own web-site will be provided.
